Nature calls, and I answer.
— Dryad

The Dryad is a unit of the Wolf Clan, only available in the Winter of the Wolf expansion pack.

About[]

Stealthy and mysterious by nature, these elite guardians of the forest are rarely seen by anyone but the Druidesses. More than the other Wolf Clan members, the Dryad is truly in tune with nature. She bears armor made of the living wood of the forest she has sworn to protect, and her magical prowess allows her to wield a long energy blade to cut down anyone who would intrude on her domain.

Her lightning fast reflexes make her deadly in hand-to-hand combat, and while she has no means to attack foes at a distance, her magical weapon can make quick work of anyone foolish enough to challenge her or her clan.

Usage[]

The Dryad is the token mage for the physically-oriented Wolf Clan. She has good resistances against cutting and blunt weapons and her strong enchanted saber devastates magic-fearing foes, Nevertheless, Dryads are vulnerable to the fire, explosive, and ironically magic, and Dryads walk and run rather slowly to engage and chase down enemies.

Dryads may wear Shale Armor to boost their overall resistance and Shale Armor stacks multiplicatively with Song of the Morning Dew technique which also reduces the explosive and fire damage she receives. A Dryad may also get blessed by Druidesses with Sapping Ritual to drain stamina from tower and increase fellow Wolf fighters' resistances, as long as those take towers' shots for her.

Battle Gear[]

Dryad special (Sapping Ritual) Sapping Ritual Stamina:
Drains Stamina
Shalearmor-icon Shale Armor Passive
Can be granted by Druidess' Blessing. Requirements: Shalery
When blessed by a Druidess the Dryad can make use of the Sapping Ritual. This special attack drains the magical energy of any enemy watchtower, and the Dryad can channel that energy to empower nearby allies, at the cost of remaining perfectly still and expending stamina. All Wolf units may adorn themselves in thick armor made of shale, greatly boosting defense against most types of damage.
